The Westfield Farmers Market is a fabulous summer outdoor experience for all ages. Our Market is a NY Producers certified market, meaning all produce offered is regionally grown and fresh from the farm. Open through the summer months every Saturday from 9 am to 2pm, locals and vacationers alike stroll through historic Moore Park perusing and selecting locally grown fruits and vegetables such as strawberries, tomatoes, peppers, squash, beans, apples, peaches, and so much more. Other eye-catching tables include Amish woven baskets, woodcraft, hand-made soaps, jams, jellies and other canned items. Local wineries are also showcased each week, owners talking with patrons about the production of their wine and offering samples and plenty of varieties for purchase. Many visitors choose to continue their day lunching in the park, enjoying the live music, then moving on into Westfield to explore local antiques, shops and restaurants.
In late June and July the Farmers Market partners with local artists to showcase Art in the Park. For five weeks market patrons are able to appreciate and purchase local fine artist’s work from watercolors to oil to photography. Taking home an original work of art from this group allows one to enjoy Westfield and our region year-round!
Our Market also showcases local chefs and produce in our annual Local Food Heroes Cook-off held in August. Local restaurants are paired with local farms and work feverishly that day to create the most appealing and tasty dishes and desserts, all available to be sampled by the public. The public shows their support by voting for the People’s Choice award, and the judging panel, through much tasting and deliberation, award the winning restaurant with the coveted crystal statue.
