The trip of a lifetime, Judy Shuler, and Hildegard Ratliff simply called it home. They didn’t yet know each other when each started a tour business in Juneau, inspired by the untamed beauty and outdoor experiences that enriched their world. They would meet at the waterfront cruise ship dock, their tour vans parked next to each other. Thus began a collaboration meeting tourists from around the world for several years and a strong friendship spanning distance and decades.
Red and Blue recount their observations of the tourists who filled their vans. Our universal desire to feel connected to the natural world. It is also deeply rooted in a wild and beautiful place that continues to captivate visitors and residents alike.
