"Atmospheric changes, shapes of color, texture, and reflections inspire my works. These aspects are embodied in my creation of landscapes, seascapes and abstracts. The desire to capture fleeting moments in an unexpected way, results in subtle color and texture transitions within my portrayal of skies and water. A strong background in design leads my focus to line, color, and direction throughout my compositions. An important aspect of my technique is drawing in and engaging viewers in the captured moment, to evoke an emotional response. Guiding them through a work to experience the pull of water as it rises to form the crest of a wave or the warmth of an intense sunset over water is what drives me to continue exploring new techniques to convey my own emotions."
