Volunteer and Help Promote the Lake Erie Concord Grape Belt

The Grape Discovery Center is looking for volunteers. Help preserve, revitalize, support and promote the area's unique agricultural, cultural and natural heritage. A volunteer at the Grape Discovery Center helps visitors to the area learn about the history of the Concord Grape Belt. It is a great way to give back to the community and provide a valuable service through our multi-media exhibit area, our wine tasting room and our retail shop.

Stewards of Children

The YWCA of Westfield is pleased to once again offer the “Darkness to Light Stewards of Children Child Sexual Abuse Prevention Training” on Saturday, November 3rd at 1pm completely free of charge. This valuable two-hour course is a prevention training program that teaches adults how to prevent, recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse.

Pumpkin Carving at YWCA of Westfield

On Sunday, October 21st, between 2:00pm and 5:00pm, the YWCA will offer pumpkin carving for all ages, and the opportunity to meet new people and empower each other. Your first ticket is $10 and just $5 for additional family members. With each ticket you will receive one pumpkin, carving tools with a stencil of your choice or paint, and one battery-powered candle to light up your masterpiece. Space is limited, so we suggest RSVPing to the Facebook event with how many people are attending. The event is rain or shine. 

Yoga Class at YWCA of Westfield

Join Jen Raines from The Studio at Panterra for a Yoga Class on Thursday, September 13th from 6:30pm until 7:45pm in the YWCA Westfield's assembly room. The cost is a $15 donation which will benefit the Board’s programming efforts for women in the community. Please pre-register by phone at 716-708- 2521 or by email at studiopanterra@mac.com. Wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat if you have one. 

Dr. Gena Bedrosian - All Russian Composers Piano Concert

This is Dr. Gena's second concert for the Patterson Library. Her fingers sweep the piano keys in a wave of ease only fine musicians really know. Gena's energy and dedication to her craft are endless and she continues to play at venues throughout the east coast for non-profit organizations free of charge. We are so fortunate to have an artist of this caliber playing for the community. This rich experience for your soul will be offered to the public this Thursday at 6 pm. Please come to support your local arts in a public library with refreshments to follow.
