8-10 Year Olds in the Little League State Tournament

This group of special girls are set to take on New York's elite 8-10 year olds in the Little League State Tournament this week in Dunkirk! They will be leaving the school parking lot at 3 pm on Wednesday 7/18 with an escort through town. Please come out to Main Street and give them your support as they look to continue making history. Game time is 5 pm at Wright Park in Dunkirk. WDOE's Dan Palmer will be broadcasting on 94.9 FM / 1410 AM.
YWCA Announces Annual Arts & Crafts Festival
The YWCA Westfield announces their annual Arts & Crafts Festival to be held this July.
The annual YWCA Arts & Crafts festival located in the Village of Westfield's Moore Park returns on July 27th & 28th, 2018. Patrons will enjoy FREE admission to browse among numerous vendors. A variety of food trucks offer a wide selection of tasty delights.
Attendees will find unique and handcrafted creations, including home décor, gourmet foods, jewelry, children’s toys, clothing, original art, metal sculptures and more.

Coon Road Speedway Event – Rousing Success – Ox Roast 2018!
Right there at the start of the activity venues at Ottaway Park Westfield Firemen’s Ox Roast 2018, was a white tent with an old white race car - #18 (how appropriate!) – a replica of the #18, 1941 Mercury race car that was driven by Don Strain at Coon Road Speedway, about some 60 years ago.
Coon Road Speedway Documentary
Coon Road Speedway located south of Westfield N.Y. just off the Westfield-Serman Road on Coon Road was build by Joel Swartout in 1956. It ran 1956-58 and 1960-61. A collaborative effort headed by Randy Anderson, Greg Peterson and Randy Sweeney produced a documentary on the racetrack: Coon Road Speedway
