Students in grades 4 through 12, of all skill levels, are invited to join the Patterson Junior Chess Club. Chess Club will take place on Tuesdays from 6:30-8 p.m. The club will run from April 3-May 15. Each week, we'll learn something new from how to set the chess board, how to record chess moves, and strategies and tactics!

An informal talk with Bill Bales about his river tables that he has on display at the Octagon Gallery. After the gallery talk and discussion with will move the meeting to Monroe's Marina in Barcelona from 8:00pm - ? for a more "formal" meeting of the Chautauqua County Woodworking group. Anyone is Welcome and encouraged to attend.
Families with children are invited to spend the first part of their day off of school enjoying "Peter Rabbit" on the library's new projector and screen along with some popcorn to snack on!

Following Up on the Police Photo ID
Several community folks and faithful readers have “weighed in” on attempting to identify the regular and auxiliary policemen in the 1960s photo shared in an earlier BeeLines. The first was a phone call from a reader in Ripley who identified Auxiliary Policeman Calvin Morse as the fourth person from the left in the front row. This was later confirmed by others who were sharing their observations.
The Opening Reception for Tom Annear Paintings - The Art of Seeing A Tribute to John Burroughs and the Land will be held at Lake Shore Center for the Arts on July 28th, 2018, from 5 PM - 7 PM. The show runs through September 15th, 2018.
