Jack's Barcelona Drive In Reopens After Winter Break

Julie Travis has re-opened Jack’s Barcelona Drive In, after a long winter of snow and cold temperatures.  The re-opening of Jack’s is a true sign that the weather will be soon be warming up and our snow birds will return.  Jack’s is located at 8249 First St in Barcelona.  Hours vary slightly from time to time but are mostly 7am to 8 pm M-F and 7 am to 3 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Rusty Bova, International Jazz Clarinetist and Saxophonist performs works from Benny Goodman, Pete Fountain and Boots Randolph.

Saturday, April 14, at 7:30 pm in the sanctuary of the Presbyterian Church with a reception to follow in the Bill Ross Music Hall of Lake Shore Center for the Arts.

Unplugged in the Middle of the Field


Unplugged in the Middle of the Field is a variety show performed at the Jacqueline Phillips Theater at Lake Shore Center for the Arts in Westfield.  Your hosts Hans Mueller, a store keeper, and Floyd Kowalski, owner operator of the local Texaco Station, interview interesting local people about their lives and interests.  The "Lit Lady" shares  literature and humor, The Unknown Comic will delight your funny bone with one liners.  Musical performers from the area share their talents and there is a segment about cooking or other craft.

Free Movie Night


Lake Shore Center for the Arts presents a FREE movie each month on the third Tuesday of the month at 7:00 pm.

In addition to the movie there are newsreels, cartoons and music appropriate for the time period of the movie.  The movie in March is Charade from 1963 starring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn.  This movie is a classic and our intimate theater is the perfect place to view it.
