CHRISTMAS LIGHTS DRIVING TOUR

VOTE FOR YOUR FAVORITE CHRISTMAS LIGHTS' HOUSES

We have created a poll so that all of you can vote for your favorite Christmas Lights' houses from our Village of Westfield Rec. Dept. Christmas Lights map.

We have picked 10 of our favorite Westfield houses as well as 5 of our favorite non-Westfield houses. All of the houses are excellent choices and we would like to give a HUGE THANKS to all of the owners of the 45 houses on our map as well as everyone who asked for a map and showed an interest in this program. We look forward to doing this again next year!

Please keep in mind that there are no formal prizes that will be given out. This is a poll for fun and the whole idea of this was to spread Christmas joy and everyone more than succeeded in that!

YOUTH BASKETBALL UPDATE

Most years, we would have already started our youth basketball program by now. However, as we all know, this is a year unlike any other. Earlier this week, the New York State High School Athletic Association announced that the start of high-risk sports such as basketball cannot start practicing until January 18th. Therefore, we will not be able to start youth basketball until January 18th at the earliest.

Unfortunately, we are dealing with various issues in regards to both COVID-19, as well as logistical issues such as not being able to use the schools or the YWCA this year for practices and games. Although, it's unlikely that we will be able to have the complete program that we're used to, we are still very much hoping that we will be able to have some type of program. It will most likely be in clinic form with groups of 10 working on fundamentals and skill-building.

As of now, we're hoping to start shortly after January 18th. But nothing is certain as of now. We will continue to be hopeful of having some type of youth basketball program, and we will post any further updates ASAP. We thank you all for your patience and cooperation!
