Have a penchant for a great antique or a sweet tooth for an amazing dessert of the month? Look no further than Patterson Library’s annual auction and chicken barbecue, which will be held from 5:00 PM -7:00 PM at Eason Hall. This annual auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year! We are so excited to bring you tons of baskets and items to bid on in our silent auction, wonderful bigger ticket items in our live auction, and some new categories of fun, including a “wine cork pull”, and individual or group/business sponsorships of story times throughout the calendar year.
You do not need to buy a ticket to come to the auction, but you will need a ticket to get an amazing chicken barbecue with copious sides from Chiavetta’s, and to have some amazing desserts prepared by Patterson Society Co-President, Karin Cockram, though we would love you to stay and bid with us! Tickets for the barbecue will go on sale on Thursday, 7/25/19, until we are sold out of dinners. You may buy tickets from any Patterson Library Trustee or Patterson Society Leadership Team Members, as well as from the main library desk. If you would like to reserve tickets for the barbecue before we sell out, you may also call the library or email the library director.
We are also now accepting donations of items for our silent and live auction. Please bring them to the library or contact the director or a library trustee or Patterson Society member for donation, and a tax-deductible receipt. All donations are gratefully accepted and appreciated in order to make this the most successful auction to date!
The annual auction and chicken barbecue helps to support the budget of the Patterson Library, in order to maintain services, programming and materials, and continue Hannah Patterson’s legacy of “a library of beauty and excellence” for the community of Westfield, and beyond. All are welcome at Patterson Library.
